CaptainVijayakanth and Vikraman are coming together for Mariyaathai afterblockbuster movie Vanathai Pola. Vijaykanth has been, for the firsttime, paired up against Meera Jasmine for this Mariyadhai film. Thegrand success of Saroja, T. Siva of Amma Creations produces thisMariyathai film. In ‘Mariyaadhai’, Vijayakanth plays dual roles offather and son with Meera Jasmine and Meena in the female lead role.For the father character Ambika is the choice.
Director Vikraman, onhis part said, “Vaanatha Pola was the first Indian movie in themillennium, being released on January 13, said to be an unlucky day.But it went on to be a super hit, and went to many other languages aswell. Yet, I was disappointed with it on two accounts: I showedVijaykanth as a very soft character. And two, the movie won manyawards, but I expected a Best Actor Award for Vijaykanth, which neverhappened. I’m sure I’ll straighten things out this time around.” MeeraJasmine, Meena and Ambika play the heroines of the film. The film alsostars Meena, Meera Jasmine, Ambika and Ramesh Kanna. It is produced byRaj Television Network Ltd and T.Siva’s Amma Creations.
