Nature Images Striking wild peach blossoms in Bac Ha arrive early
This kind of flower can only grow and bloom from 700 metres above sea level. They are very beautiful and efforts need to be made to preserve and grow them in ecosystem areas like Sapa and Bac Ha.

Jenny Nguyen crowned Miss Viet-Uc 2011
Jenny Nguyen, 19, won the title of Miss Viet-Uc 2011 over first runner up Trammy Pham, of Canley Heights, and second runner up Ellen Lexuan, of Revesby.
More than 400 people attended the beauty pageant at Mounties on Friday night.
Miss Nguyen, who was encouraged to enter by two friends who were also contestants, said she was “surprised but very happy” to win.
She will use her $10,000 prize money to work with children’s and AIDs charities when she visits Vietnam later this year.
“I didn’t expect to win and I just did it for the experience but, now that I have the money, I will put it towards a good cause,” she said.
Although she’s not considering a career in modelling, Miss Nguyen said she had learned more about Vietnamese culture and language by bonding with the other girls.
Victorian contestant Dianne Ly won the title of Miss Congeniality, Tookie Dinh won Miss Photogenic and Karol Le was voted people’s choice.
Two new titles were added this year with Rosemary Nguyen winning Best Evening Gown and Amy Nguyen winning Miss Hot Body.
